1. Who operates this site

Pailebote Digital, S.A.S. de C.V., a company established in Mexico, operates Pailebot Logbook at logbook.pailebot.com. Our company website is pailebote.com.mx.

For privacy questions and requests concerning information we hold, write to contact@pailebot.com. This Microsoft 365 shared mailbox is our contact channel for Logbook, including requests handled by the person responsible for data protection within Pailebote Digital.

This policy covers the Logbook website and email feedback about it. The Pailebot browser, our company website and other products have their own policies; this policy does not replace them.

2. Reading and searching the blog

Logbook is a static cybersecurity publication. It has no user accounts, payment facilities, comment section, contact form, newsletter subscription, advertisements or visitor-analytics scripts in this version. We do not build advertising profiles, sell personal information or use tracking pixels.

The site’s own code does not set cookies or save preferences in local storage. Search runs on your device against a downloaded title-and-keyword index. What you type in the search box is not submitted to us or to a search provider. Ordinary browser caching may store public pages and assets on your device.

3. Cloudflare delivery and security

Cloudflare delivers the public site’s static files over HTTPS through its content-delivery network. It can process technical request data such as your IP address, requested URL, date and time, browser headers, routing information and security signals to deliver and protect that service. Operational statistics and security events may be available to us through our Cloudflare account; these are not an advertising or cross-site visitor profile created by Logbook.

Cloudflare’s infrastructure processing is distinct from the code on our pages. Depending on the security protection triggered for a request, Cloudflare may present a challenge or use a security cookie. We therefore do not promise that every network request is anonymous or that infrastructure providers can never use a cookie. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy, customer data-processing terms and security-cookie documentation.

4. Ordinary visits and Pailebot new tabs

Opening Logbook by its URL in an ordinary tab or another browser uses that browser’s normal site context. Where a Pailebot Desktop release opens Logbook in its dedicated new-tab context, that context separates its browser storage and network-session state from ordinary Pailebot tabs. It does not hide your IP address or requests from Cloudflare, your internet provider or another service that handles the connection. The browser release’s settings and documentation determine whether that special context is in use; merely visiting this domain does not activate it.

5. Feedback by email

Our feedback links use mailto: to open your chosen email application. Clicking a link does not send a message or upload a form to Logbook. If you choose to send email, we receive your email address, any name you provide, the message, attachments and normal email metadata. Microsoft 365 and the services involved in sending your email process the message to deliver and operate email.

We use this information to read and respond to feedback, investigate reported errors or security concerns, consider translation corrections, and handle privacy or rights requests. Access is limited to authorized people who need it for these purposes. A message does not subscribe you to marketing. We do not publish your email address, private message or name with a correction unless you authorize that disclosure or a legal obligation requires it.

Do not send passwords, identity documents, financial or health records, confidential browsing histories, or unnecessary information about other people. For a sensitive report, first ask us how to arrange an appropriate channel. We do not request sensitive personal information through ordinary feedback.

6. Service providers and other disclosures

We use Cloudflare for website delivery and protection, and Microsoft 365 for the shared mailbox. These providers and their authorized service providers may process information outside Mexico, under the service arrangements and safeguards applicable to them. Their involvement does not remove our responsibility for information we control. Microsoft’s enterprise privacy information explains its role when providing organizational services.

We do not sell or rent personal data. Disclosures beyond processing needed to provide these services require the consent or legal basis applicable to the disclosure. We may respond to valid requirements from competent authorities or preserve information needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

7. Retention and protection

For ordinary feedback, our retention criterion is up to twelve months after the last interaction, unless more time is necessary to investigate an unresolved report, handle a rights request, comply with a legal obligation or address a dispute. We keep only the information needed for the relevant purpose. Once that purpose and any applicable retention period end, we delete the information or restrict its processing during a legally required preservation period before deletion.

Provider-held technical data and residual backup copies follow the applicable service arrangements and deletion cycles. We cannot promise that deleting a message from the active mailbox immediately erases every provider backup or technical record. Cloudflare’s own infrastructure records are not governed by the twelve-month email criterion.

We use access controls and security measures appropriate to the information involved. No transmission or storage system is entirely risk-free, which is another reason to avoid unnecessary sensitive details in email.

8. Your choices and privacy rights

You can read the site without emailing us. For personal information we hold, you may request access, correction, cancellation or object to its processing (the Mexican ARCO rights). You may also request to withdraw consent or limit use or disclosure, subject to applicable legal obligations.

Email contact@pailebot.com with the subject Privacy. Include your name, a way to reply, the right or action you request, and enough information to locate the relevant data. For a correction, explain what should change. We will tell you how to establish identity or representation proportionately; do not attach an identity document to your initial email.

We communicate our decision on an ARCO request within twenty business days of receipt and, when it is granted, implement it within fifteen business days after the response. A justified extension may be made once for an equal period, as permitted by law. We explain any lawful reason that prevents granting all or part of a request. These rights are free to exercise, apart from legally permitted reproduction or delivery costs. Withdrawal of consent is not retroactive and does not override mandatory retention obligations.

The Mexican Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties describes these rights. You may contact the competent authority if you believe your request has not been handled according to law. Other mandatory rights that apply to you are not excluded by this policy.

9. External links and future changes

Articles and legal pages link to third-party sites with their own terms and privacy practices. Opening those sites sends requests to their services; this policy does not govern them.

We publish changes on this page with a revised date. This version does not describe an advertising-supported site: if we introduce ads, analytics, forms or other data-processing features, we will update the relevant information before enabling them and obtain any required consent. A policy change does not retroactively authorize a new use of information you previously supplied.
